People interested in safe, ethical dog training are welcome to apply. Dogs of different breeds, ages and confidence levels may be suitable, subject to safety review.
Training takes place around people, dogs, roads, terrain and public spaces. We ask for honest dog behaviour and handler information so sessions can be planned safely.
How it works
Review the constitution, safety rules, privacy statement and membership fees before applying.
Tell us about you, your dog, your training goals, emergency contact details, and any safety notes.
The committee reviews applications to confirm fit, safety needs, communication details and fee requirements.
If approved, you will receive membership/payment details and information about upcoming training opportunities.
Before your first session
Bring suitable clothing, water, rewards for your dog, a harness if you use one, and any required long line or safety gear. Tell organisers about reactivity, bite history, fear, medical needs or handling limits before training starts.
Apply for membershipApply anyway and be honest in the safety notes. The association can advise whether a training setup is suitable, whether adjustments are needed, or whether another pathway is safer first.
